Hi, I'm Michael Anthony Murray!

I grew up in the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts, born in 1960 to a mother and father who worked hard to provide for me and my brothers. I graduated from Wahconah Regional High School in 1978, then joined the service as a U.S. Navy Seabee in 1980 and served until 1985.

After the Navy, I worked several driving and construction jobs before retiring as a power plant operator in 2016. Through it all, I've had the love and support of my wife of 40 years, Loretta — my partner in everything and above all my soul mate.

In 2018, Loretta and I made the move to Murrells Inlet, South Carolina — and we haven't looked back since. We love the beach life and especially the wonderful people we've made our friends here.

Gizmo the Majestic Shih Tzu was born from a love of storytelling and a desire to share something warm and joyful with the youngest readers. I write for toddlers and preschoolers everywhere — the curious ones, the wiggly ones, the ones who ask "again!" before you've even finished the last page. Those are my people. Gizmo is real and the story is real. Let your child experience the love this dog can convey.
